James May on the Moon

Today on Far Future Horizons we follow British journalist James May (of Top Gear fame) as he commemorates the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo moon landings. 


 In this documentary feature May interviews Apollo moonwalkers Harrison Schmitt, Alan Bean, and Charlie Duke, before he himself experiences the trill weightlessness and G-forces similar to that of a Saturn V rocket launch.

As a passenger in a Lockheed U-2 spy plane, May flies to the edge of space where he is able to clearly view the curvature of the earth. His training for this was shown in the BBC Four documentary James May at the Edge of Space. This documentary was featured yesterday on Far Future Horizons.
